Need to catch a breath of fresh air after touring downtown Dublin? Howth Harbor is the place to be. The Irish peninsula is a blend of marina and working fish harbor that provides excellent harbor- and cliff-walks around the area. You can catch a boat to Ireland's Eye to visit an uninhabited island full of birds and ecclesiastical ruins. Many enjoy watching the seals that hang out around the harbor, playing and begging for food. Speaking of food, you can't miss with any of the seafood restaurants in the area. The biggest crowds are on summer Sundays; be sure to bundle up on a chilly day, as the breezes off the water can be fierce.
